How to connect Tracknamic
An administrator of your truckTMS account opens Settings → Integrations, picks Tracknamic and enters the API username and password from Tracknamic. The “Test connection” button checks them before saving.
You need the integration (API) user, not the password you use for the Tracknamic portal. If you don't have one, ask Tracknamic for it.
- Trucks are matched by number plate, with no manual mapping.
- Position history is kept for 90 days; fuel totals stay in the monthly reports.
- If the API password changes, the integration pauses itself until you enter the new details.
Looking for the Tracknamic portal?
truckTMS is not the Tracknamic portal and does not replace your Tracknamic account. You open the portal from the Tracknamic website with the login they gave you. truckTMS is the dispatch software (TMS) where you run trips, drivers and documents, and it reads the GPS data from Tracknamic.
Mixed fleet? That works too
You can connect several GPS accounts at once: Tracknamic on some trucks, TrackGPS or Eurowag on others. Every truck shows on the same map whatever the provider. Tachograph and fuel data come from Tracknamic only.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to change my Tracknamic contract?
No. You only need a user with API access to your Tracknamic account. The contract and hardware stay with Tracknamic.
How often do positions update?
truckTMS reads positions about once a minute. Tachograph activity refreshes about every 15 minutes because of Tracknamic's request limit.
Are the driving times the official tachograph data?
No. They are estimated from the data Tracknamic sends and checked against Regulation (EC) 561/2006. For roadside checks use the official tachograph download.
Can I see how many litres were refuelled?
You see the time, place and tank level of each refuel. Tracknamic does not send the quantity added, so litres per refuel are not shown.
How much does the integration cost?
It is included in truckTMS: €7 per truck per month plus €12 per user per month, with a 30-day free trial.
